Variety previously reported that James is in talks to play the role of Simon in the upcoming film, Trance, directed by Danny Boyle (of Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours fame). With this role, he would replace Michael Fassbender, with whom he co-starred in X-Men: First Class. Though, following up with the story IndieWire shares that Fox Searchlight has corrected Variety, saying that James is up for a different role in the film. Needless to say, we'll be sure to follow with this story as it continues to develop. This will be the film's world premiere. The Hollywood Reporter reports that the film will "receive a gala screening at Roy Thomson Hall, traditionally a fall launchpad for Oscar contenders". The festival itself is set to run September 9th-19th, 2010. The schedule will be released on August 24th and we will be sure to post here the times and dates of the viewing. No word yet as to who from the film will be in attendance. In the past James attended the festival for The Last King of Scotland, Penelope and Starter for Ten in 2006.
