McAvoy's name is flying around with upcoming films!
Variety previously reported that James is in talks to play the role of Simon in the upcoming film, Trance, directed by Danny Boyle (of Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours fame). With this role, he would replace Michael Fassbender, with whom he co-starred in X-Men: First Class.

Though, following up with the story IndieWire shares that Fox Searchlight has corrected Variety, saying that James is up for a different role in the film.

Needless to say, we'll be sure to follow with this story as it continues to develop.

X-Men: First Class is out in theaters now in the US. If you haven't seen it yet, head to your theaters ASAP! But don't take my word for it. Travis Oscarson from FanReviews.com has compiled a video of reviews from theater goers coming out after the film. They all are rather positive praising a solid film. You can watch the video here.

James has recently signed up to star in the crime thriller, "Welcome to the Punch". In the film he will play Roy, a detective chasing an ex-con in London.

You can currently see James in the film The Conspirator, opened in select theaters April 15th in the US and X-Men: First Class coming soon on June 3rd.
