CBC has put up on their website a 8m40s video interview of James, where throughout the interview he is frequently interrupted by passerbyers. In the interview James talks about what could have been shown in The Conspirator, as well as his interpretation of the significance of the film. He also discusses the joys of working with Robin Wright and Robert Redford. For copyright reasons we cannot put the video directly on the site, but please check out the video through CBC's website.

We posted earlier that The Conspirator will be making its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival. The festival has released its schedule today. The film will have three screenings with the following dates, times and locations:
Saturday September 11, 6:30 PM @ ROY THOMSON HALL
Sunday September 12, 12:00 PM @ RYERSON
Sunday September 19, 2:45 PM @ VARSITY 8

Good news, The Last Station has found a North American distributor, Sony Picture Classics! So hopefully this means that the US will see this film in theaters before the new year.
The film will soon make its way to the AFI Festival and is scheduled for a screening on Saturday, November 7th at 3:00pm. You can pick up your tickets for the festival through here. The film has a run time of 110 minutes.

British film fans delivered their verdict on the Oscars after voting James McAvoy and Atonement the big winners at the Empire magazine awards.
The adaptation by Ian McEwan took three prizes - including Best British Film, Best actress for Keira Knightley and Best actor for McAvoy – in the ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel.

James McAvoy lost the BAFTA of 'Best actor' to Daniel-Day Lewis but 'Atonement' won the top prize for 'Best film'. You can watch pictures of James and Anne-Marie Duff arriving at the ceremony in our photo gallery.
Speaking on the red carpet, he said: "It’s a nice thing to come to. I’m confident for Atonement but it will be nice if some of the awards are shared out because there are a lot of intelligent films this year"
