James recently attended a dinner for the PeaceEarth Foundation at the Banqueting House in London. JustJared has some photos from the event. Forest Whitaker founded the organization this year "to empower communities in areas of conflict and to promote peace everywhere."
James has also been a supporter of Retrak for several years. Last year, he abseiled from Guy's Hospital Tower in London in support of Retrak. The organization "works with street children in Africa to give them a real alternative to life on the street." There's currently a drive to raise funds called the Zero Appeal:
Retrak is working towards a world where ZERO children are forced to live on the streets. We know this will not happen overnight but every child we help takes us one step closer to this critical goal. By donating to the Retrak ZERO Appeal you will help us to transform the lives of many more street children and their families in Africa. For a few more days, the UK Government will match any funds donated.
