 Film: Filming in New York

exclusive James has begun filming The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby in New York City. Jessica Chastain is co-starring. Other possible cast members are Viola Davis, Isabelle Huppert, Bill Hader, Ciarán Hinds, Isabelle Huppert, Jess Weixler, William Hurt, and Nina Arianda.

 Film: New film with Danny Boyle?

exclusive McAvoy's name is flying around with upcoming films!
Variety previously reported that James is in talks to play the role of Simon in the upcoming film, Trance, directed by Danny Boyle (of Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours fame). With this role, he would replace Michael Fassbender, with whom he co-starred in X-Men: First Class.

Though, following up with the story IndieWire shares that Fox Searchlight has corrected Variety, saying that James is up for a different role in the film.

Needless to say, we'll be sure to follow with this story as it continues to develop.

 Film: James Joins the Cast - "Welcome to the Punch"

exclusive James has recently signed up to star in the crime thriller, "Welcome to the Punch". In the film he will play Roy, a detective chasing an ex-con in London.

You can currently see James in the film The Conspirator, opened in select theaters April 15th in the US and X-Men: First Class coming soon on June 3rd.

 Film: James to play Charles Xavier in new X-Men Movie

exclusive The comic-book world is a-buzzing with James up to play the role of young Charles Xavier in the upcoming X-Men: First Class movie, directed by Matthew Vaughn. The story will look at the younger lives of Charles Xavier (aka Professor X) and Eric Lensherr (aka Magneto). No word yet on the other actors in the film. Production will begin this summer in London and is set to hit the screens on June 3, 2011. We'll be sure to keep you posted as the story develops.
